POTENTIAL SIDE EFFECTS

It is important to note that barley is a grain that contains gluten; the specific gluten protein found in barley is called hordein. However, because the tea is filtered and does not contain the actual barley grain, the gluten levels will be much lower than the grain itself.

However, people with celiac disease or severe gluten sensitivity may want to avoid barley tea or at least talk to their doctor before drinking it to avoid any potential problems.

HOW TO BREW BARLEY TEA

After washing and draining, start roasting the Barley in a pan over medium heat. Stir constantly to cook it evenly until the beans are lightly golden and give off a characteristic aroma.

After roasting, you can put it in a pot of water. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat; let the water simmer for about five to seven minutes. You can drink it with ice if you like it cool.
