This stir-fried chicken and vegetables dish features golden chicken pieces and crispy fresh vegetables such as bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots. The flavorful sauce made from soy sauce, oyster sauce, and honey adds a rich taste, making it a perfect accompaniment to egg noodles or spaghetti.
Ingredients:
- 225g egg noodles or spaghetti, cooked and drained.
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil.
- 450g boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced thinly.
- 3 cups mixed vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, broccoli, carrots).
- 3 cloves garlic, minced.
- ¼ cup soy sauce.
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce.
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar.
- 1 tsp sesame oil.
- ½ tsp ground ginger.
- Optional garnish: sesame seeds, sliced green onions.
Instructions:
- Prepare Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Set aside.
- Cook Chicken: Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken slices and cook for 5-6 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Stir Fry Vegetables: Add the remaining 1 tbsp of oil to the same skillet. Toss in the mixed vegetables and garlic. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes until tender but crisp.
- Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet and pour the sauce over. Add the cooked noodles and toss everything together until well-coated and heated through.
- Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
